Description: “Religiously” comments on daily medication as a new belief system, complete with its own daily rituals and reliance. We as a society have put our faith in medicine and pills to get what we feel we need. We use pills to sleep, to stay awake, to kill pain, to lose weight, to feel less depressed or anxious, to cure an infection, to regulate our heart, alter our chemistry, cholesterol or blood pressure. The piece is made up of “beads” of drilled prescription and over-the-counter pills.
